The Hunky Punks Project is a series of youth and community workshops to create monsters from recycled fabrics and materials based upon the Hunky Punks found on All Saint's Church, Langport. The workshops will cumulate in a showcase event as part of the Langport festival at the church.

THE NEW SAINTS

A group of young volunteers (aged 16-25) working to find new ways to use All Saints Church building in Langport. The New Saints have been set up to lead projects to engage with the communities around the building and allow new people to discover what is interesting, odd, fun, evocative and valuable about the building.
New Saints are supported by the CCT and the HLF

CCT

The Churches Conservation Trust is the national charity protecting historic churches at risk.
They’ve saved over 340 beautiful buildings which attract more than 1.5 million visitors a year. With their help and with your support they are kept open and in use – living once again at the heart of their communities.

BRIDGWATER COLLEGE STUDENTS

The Bridgwater Event Management Students have devised a whole series of events for the New Saints project this year, and one of them is the open workshop on 3rd May. Bridgwater are using the project as real life coursework for their qualifications in Event Management, we feel that this arrangement where we get near-professional volunteers and they get a high quality, real life project to base their coursework on works very well for everyone involved.
